Take a National Lifeguard Course
Lifeguard courses build on the skills, knowledge and values that the Lifesaving Society of BC & Yukon teaches in its Pre-Bronze and Bronze Medal awards. The focus of lifeguard training is on incident prevention, emergency response and teamwork to maximize safety and fun of all types of aquatic environments. The responsibility of holding a lifeguard certification is great, but so are the rewards!
Process to Attain Certification:
- Present the necessary prerequisites
- Attend 100% of the NL course or NL recertification
- Successfully complete all the test items within the course or recertification duration.
- Candidates will receive a temporary certification card at completion of the course and a certification card in the mail upon successful completion of the course and course administration
- Candidates who are unsuccessful must retake the full NL course or NL recertification
