Basic Life Support Responder (BLS) Recert
Description
Recertification of Basic Life Support Responder (CPR-HCP) is achieved by attending a BLS Responder Recert.
Prerequisites
- Basic Life Support Responder (need not be current)
Previous certification must be from one of the following agencies:
Lifesaving Society
Canadian Red Cross
St. John Ambulance
Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada
Canadian Ski Patrol
Candidates are responsible for having the correct prerequisites. If you have any questions in regards to this please reach out to us.
Recognition
Basic Life Support Responder electronic recertification card.
Currency
Certification is valid for 1 year from date of issue.

Basic Life Support Responder (BLS)
Description
Basic Life Support training is designed for Health Care Providers such as doctors, nurses, paramedics or those who work in a health care field and require the Health Care Provider CPR-HCP certification. In addition to all CPR-C level skills, participants are taught how to work as a multi-person team, do simultaneous assessment of breathing and pulse, stand-alone rescue breathing and use bag-valve-masks.
