Basic Life Support Responder with CPR-HCP/AED

Overview

Basic Life Support with CPR-HCP/AED training is designed for Health Care Providers such as doctors, nurses, paramedics or those who work in a health care field and require the Health Care Provider CPR-HCP certification. In addition to all CPR-C level skills, participants are taught how to work as a multi-person team, do simultaneous assessment of breathing and pulse, stand-alone rescue breathing and use bag-valve-masks.

Prerequisites

  • No pre-requisites
Recognition

Basic Life Support with CPR-HCP/AED electronic certification card.

Currency

Certification is valid for 1 year from date of issue

Recertification

Recertification of Basic Life Support with CPR-HCP/AED is achieved by attending a Basic Life Support with CPR-HCP/AED Recert.

Prerequisites

  • Basic Life Support (need not be current)
  • Previous certification must be from one of the following agencies:
    – Lifesaving Society
    – Canadian Red Cross
    – St. John Ambulance
    – Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada
    – Canadian Ski Patrol

      Recognition
