Paid

Closing date:
October 15, 2014
Job Description:

The Royal Life Saving Society has been promoting water safety and drowning prevention in Canada since the first Bronze medallion was awarded here in 1896. The Lifesaving Society, as we are also known, is a registered charity, incorporated in 1904. Operating as a federation model, we have a national office and ten (10) member branches which are separate entities.

Currently, the national office is seeking an experienced Member Services Coordinator to join their team. This role will focus on providing exceptional service to our Members and our various Commissions. The successful candidate should be a detail oriented, self-starter who can work independently or as part of a team, applying logic to common or complex situations.

The role itself is multi-faceted, encompassing some basic administrative functions, such as minute taking, with more complex challenges such as coordination of a complex electronic filing structure (liaise with IT, add / manage folders, ensure users are in appropriate groups). While this full time role was designed to be a ‘normal’ work day, there will be opportunities to work some evenings and weekends while minute taking for Commissions. The semi-annual honour and rescue awards submission will allow you to perfect your spreadsheet and database skills as you consolidate and coordinate information coming from our member branches for submission to the Royal Life Saving Society – Commonwealth.

If you are someone skilled in multi-tasking, proficient in MS Office and have held a similar position for at least five years, we would like to hear from you. If you are interested in learning more, or would like to apply for this opportunity, please contact Tina Asselin at tasselin@lifesaving.ca no later than October 15, 2014.

While we thank all applicants, only those selected for an interview will be contacted

A key member of the National office team, you are the first point of contact for the Society. You will provide quality service and support to our members and commissions, as well as additional support to the executive office.
