Aquatic Guard

Job Description: 

The Mission Leisure Centre is seeking energetic individuals with excellent interpersonal and communications skills to fill part-time Aquatic Guard I positions.

 

You will be responsible for guarding duties, teaching Red Cross swimming lessons and perform maintenance duties in the pool area. Aquatic Guards must enjoy interacting with children and adults and be able to effectively deal with disruptive behavior.

 

The successful candidates will have completed grade 11, be at least 16 years of age and hold current NLS, CPR and Water Safety Instructor certifications. The 2016 rate for this CUPE position is $23.81 per hour plus a percentage in lieu of all benefits. Aquatic Guards must be available for shifts anytime between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., including evenings, weekends and some holidays.
