Description: 

Standard First Aid is a WorkSafeBC Occupational Level 1 equivalent and can be used in the workplace. Recertification of Standard First Aid with CPR C/AED is achieved by attending an 8 hour Standard First Aid with CPR C/AED Recertification course.

 

Prerequisites:
Standard First Aid SFA (need not be current)
Instructional Time: 

The recommended course length for a Standard First Aid Recert is 8 hours based on a class of 12 candidates.

Recognition: 

Standard First Aid with CPR C/AED Recertification card.

 

Currency: 

Certification is valid for 3 years from date of issue.

 

Candidates can recertify any time, however, if it has been more than 5 years since your last recertification, it is recommended (but not required) to attend a full Standard First Aid course to ensure success.


Note:  If candidate is taking National Lifeguard they MUST present a Standard First Aid certification to the NL Instructor.
