BC & Yukon Branch Policies

A policy is an enforceable directive that any representative of the Lifesaving Society (such as instructors and instructor-trainers) must follow when teaching any component of Society programs.  Failure to follow a policy would be deemed to be detrimental to victim care, increase the risk of liability for the instructor, the candidate or the Society, or is found to be unsound for other reasons. 

Failure to follow policies may result in a situation being referred to the Certification Review Committee (CRC) for the possible issuance of sanctions.  All policies are issued on behalf of the Society and therefore must be approved by the Branch Executive Committee prior to distribution or enforcement.
