WRFR Instructor

Description: 

The WRFR Instructor apprenticeship prepares candidates to  promote, teach, evaluate and administer the WRFR program.

Prerequisites:
Member of a first response agency
WRFR Level 2
Approved instructional experience
Instructional Time: 

Candidates who hold the necessary pre-requistes can apprentice on a WRFR course with an approved WRFR Instructor.  

Recognition: 

Certification card is issued upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.  Candidates must send all paperwork to the Branch office for approval before certification is issued.  Keep a copy of all paperwork for your files. 

Currency: 

Candidates must teach the WRFR course in order to remain current. 

Evaluation and Other Items: 

WRFR Instructors that are current Lifesaving Instructor Trainers can apply to become a WRFR Instructor Trainer.  Apprenticeship will be required.  Contact the Branch office for more information.
