Description: 

The NLS Recert Conductor at-home assignment will provide the NLS Instructor with the practical skills necessary to become an NLS Recert Conductor (NLSRC).  Once appointed, NLS Recert Conductors can teach and evaluate NLS Recerts in the options they hold.

The assignment package includes:

  • NLS Recert Conductor Participant Booklet
  • NLS Recert Conductor Training Assignment (will take at least 4 hours to complete)
  • NLS Recert Conductor Training DVD (Please return the DVD to the office with your completed assignment)

Complete the assignment and return it to the Branch Office within 30 days of receiving it (late assignments may not be accepted).

Co-teach and evaluate two NLS Precert-Recert clinics with an approved NLS Mentor. The second clinic should be almost entirely taught by the NLS-RC apprentice.

Submit all complete paperwork to the Lifesaving Society Office.

Prerequisites:
CPR C Current within 1 year or
First Aid Instructor Issued within 2 years
NLS Instructor Current within 2 years
Have taught a minimum of 4 NLS courses

Complete apprenticesship
Recognition: 

Once your paperwork has been reviewed and marked as complete you will be appointed and issued a certification card.

Currency: 

All NLS Recert Conductors, regardless of certification date will be required to recertify within the designated 2 years cycle.   Please ensure that you keep the branch office informed of your current email and mailing address.
