Head Lifeguard Instructor
Description:
The Head Lifeguard Instructor apprenticeship prepares candidates to promote, teach, evaluate and administer the Head Lifeguard program.
Prerequisites:
| Head Lifeguard | Proof of certification |
| NLS Instructor | Have taught at least 5 NLS courses |
| NLS Recert Conductor | |
| 2 years supervisory experience required | |
Instructional Time:
Candidates who hold the necessary pre-requistes can apprentice on a Head Lifeguard course with an approved Head Lifeguard Instructor.
Recognition:
Certification card is issued upon successful completion of the apprenticeship. Candidates must send all paperwork to the Branch office for approval before certification is issued. Keep a copy of all paperwork for your files.
Currency:
Candidates must teach the Head Lifeguard course in order to remain current.
