Description:

Lifesaving First Aid Instructors who hold a current Lifesaving Instructor Trainer certification can apply to become a First Aid Instructor Trainer. Candidates will have to successfully complete an FAI Course Apprenticeship prior to appointment.

First Aid Instructor Trainers facilitate the First Aid Instructor Course/Recerts and the AED Instructor Module, CPR-HCP Instructor Module and WSFA Instructor Module provided they hold the certification.

Prerequisites:

First Aid Instructor	Current within 2 years, recertified at least once
Lifesaving Instructor Trainer	Current within 2 years

Instructional Time:

Candidates must apprentice on a First Aid Instructor course with a qualified FAIT.

Recognition:

Award card is sent upon appointment as a First Aid Instructor Trainer.

Currency:

All appointed FAITs regardless of certification date will be required to recertify within the designated cycle. Please ensure that your keep the branch office informed of your current email and mailing address.
