Volunteer Swim Teacher/Assistant Swim Team Coach

Job Description: 

Successful candidate will be expected to work PART TIME and:

-coordinate, teach and evaluate all levels of swimming, especially the younger levels and including Water Babies up to Adult, Bronze levels & NLS

-teach & evaluate First Aid courses

-assist Head swim team coach with younger Swim Teams and lead practices independently, Masters Swim Club, and Youth Group swim programs (including outreach programs)

-other hours may be spent assisting or leading watersports excursions/camps, developing swim programs and assisting in other areas of the business


This position is for someone looking to gain experience teaching and living in the Caribbean that can work independently as well as on a Team and will be responsible for the delivery of the swim programs.


In order for consideration, all applicants MUST have the following:

-21 years or older

-LSS Swim Instructor, Lifesaving Instructor, First Aid Instructor

- Bronze Med and Cross Instructor and Examiner

-positive, outgoing, fun, reliable, responsible

-able to work independently and be a self-starter with lots of initiative

-previous experience teaching swimming to most ages and abilities with skill in teaching the 4 strokes

-skilled in all 4 strokes and able to teach and coach technique very well

-experience swimming and coaching Swim Teams with swim coaching certificate (NCCP or other)

-valid driver’s license

-previous experience coaching and creating Swim Team curriculum, competing on a Swim Team

-excellent customer service skills and ability to work long days in the sun and Holidays


-NLS Instructor and Examiner, Red Cross Swim Instructor or other organization a plus

-Level 2 or 3 NCCP certificate

-SFA Instructor

-background in watersports (kayaking, wake/ski, SUP, snorkeling, scuba, etc.)

-interest in working with youth groups and summer camps, and have an interest in community outreach projects

-AquaFit or other Fitness certification

-experience in customer service, 5 star guest service, administration, and marketing a plus



-ocean side accommodation (1 bedroom in a villa with private entrance and bath)

-return flight to Turks & Caicos Islands

-work vehicle, when needed (for work purposes only and only during work hours)

-2 meals/day in staff canteen at luxury hotel

-$500/month for living expenses

-use of company watersports equipment (kayaks, paddleboards, snorkel equipment) at discounted rates

-special rates on company ecoadventures and SCUBA instruction
